Hello! So today I had some free time to do my nails but I had an offer I couldn’t refuse!
“Auntie, my nail polish is chipped and I’m bored of it, can you do my nails?”
My seven year old niece
It’s been a while since I have done this fun, colorful design and I knew, as a girl after my own heart, she would love it.
So I set off slowly and carefully filing the picked, bitten and paper thin jewels. My biggest challenge came next, when I tried to apply my favorite white polish, Opi Alpine Snow, which has become low to the stage where I need to leave the bottle on the side to get any out and it applies like glue. But I hoped the dots would save it!
The odds were in my favor, my dotting tool was small enough for me to get 5 whole rows of color in. I applied some top coat, cuticle oil and hoped that they’d last a day without being smudged before they dry fully. One happy little client I think!
For Rainbow Dots I used:
- Opi ‘Alpine Snow’
- Barry M Gelly ‘Pomegranite’
- Barry M Gelly ‘Mango’
- Barry M Speedy ‘On Your Marks’
- Barry M Gelly ‘Green Berry’
- Opi ‘You’re Such A Budapest’
- Seche Vite Top Coat
- NSI Cuticle Oil
- Small Dotting tool (bought in a set from Amazon)
